Visor
Visor is a Terminal.app mod which adds a Quake-syle view accessible with a custom hotkey.
Download Both VisorTerminal and VisoriTerm are included.
VisorTerminal
VisorTerminal is a compiled version of LaunchTerminalForVisor, an AppleScript which opens Terminal.app, then closes the window. This is useful when you want the terminal to open at login, but don't want the window taking up screen space.
VisoriTerm
VisoriTerm is the same, for iTerm instead of Terminal.
